Frequently Asked Questions

Everything families and players want to know about Evolution Tennis Academy.

🏫

Enrollment & Eligibility

Absolutely not! Evolution Tennis Academy is open to ALL players from every school and community in the Treasure Valley. We are hosted at Eagle High School's tennis courts, but our programs welcome everyone. This is one of the most important things to know about us β€” we changed our name from Eagle Tennis Academy specifically to make this clearer.
Our summer programs primarily serve junior players ages 10–18 across multiple age-appropriate groups. Private lessons are available for all ages, including adults. If you have a younger child interested in starting earlier, contact us β€” we'll help you find the right fit.
No! We have groups for every skill level, from players who have never picked up a racket to tournament-level competitors. Our coaches will help place you in the right group during registration. When in doubt, contact us and we'll make sure you're in the right program.
Players are grouped by a combination of age and skill level. We use a brief assessment process for new players to make sure everyone is in the right group. Groups are kept at excellent coach-to-player ratios β€” typically 4–6 players per coach.
Yes! We pro-rate fees for players joining mid-session when space is available. Contact us to check current availability and we'll make it work.

Programs & Schedule

Summer 2026 runs for 11 weeks β€” May 25 through August 6 β€” with daily clinics Monday through Thursday. View the full schedule or contact us to register.
Summer 2026 is "The Year of Doubles." Every player will train in Australian formation (I-formation) all summer, practice mandatory serve-and-volley on every point, and develop poaching and net domination skills. This is very different from our 2025 singles curriculum β€” and incredibly powerful for developing complete tennis athletes. Learn more about the doubles curriculum.
Yes! Our 2025 Level-Based Singles Point Construction curriculum is preserved as a living resource and foundational methodology. It's taught in private lessons and forms the strategic backbone of all ETA coaching. Read the full curriculum here.
All summer programs are held at Eagle High School Tennis Courts, 574 N Park Ln, Eagle, ID 83616. Easy to access, plenty of parking, excellent facilities.
Yes! Spring clinics run April–May 2026 on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons (4:00–6:00 PM). Two tracks: Advanced Stroke Development (ages 13+) and Elite Tournament Training. Contact us for spring registration details.

Practical Details

  • Tennis racquet (we have demo racquets available for beginners)
  • Court shoes β€” proper tennis shoes, not running shoes
  • Water bottle β€” bring plenty, especially for summer heat
  • Sunscreen β€” Idaho summer sun is intense
  • Athletic clothing β€” comfortable, moisture-wicking
  • Tennis bag to carry your gear
We monitor conditions closely. For excessive heat, lightning, or severe weather, we adjust schedules and communicate changes via email and text to all registered families. Safety is always the priority. Starting November 2026, Racket Matrix will provide indoor training year-round β€” eliminating weather disruptions entirely!
We maintain excellent ratios throughout all programs. Most clinics have 4–6 players per coach, with smaller groups (3–4 players) for advanced tournament training groups. This is one of our most important quality standards.
Yes, with 24-hour advance notice, you can schedule a make-up session within the same month. Make-ups are subject to availability in appropriate skill-level groups. We understand life gets busy β€” just communicate with us and we'll work something out.

Every registration helps the game grow in the Treasure Valley.
